Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, including pregnancy or related condition, in any federally funded education program or activity. Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ must give pregnant students the same access to school programs and educational opportunities as any other student.
Pregnant students may request accommodations based on general pregnancy needs or a pregnancy related complication. This could include consideration for pregnancy-related absences.
