Admission:

• Receive your admission letter (Email: international@lewisu.edu)
• Receive your SEVIS I-20 form
• Apply for and receive your F1 student visa at your Embassy/ Consulate
• Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor for class registration

Before arriving to the U.S.:

• Review the F1 visa policy
• Email ISGSS@lewisu.edu with your arrival or flight information
           Note: Please schedule your flight to arrive no earlier than 30 days before the Program Start Date on your I-20.
• Schedule your airport pick up
• Read about the health insurance policy
• Submit immunization requirements
• Plan your tuition payments
• Prepare proper clothing for all four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter)
• Plan your housing
• For Graduate students with classes at the Oakbrook, IL campus:
  • Plan your transportation/commute to and from campus
• Read and review our “F1 New Student Pre-Arrival Emails”
• Schedule an Advising and Registration Appointment with your academic advisor

Documents to bring for travel:

• Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Initial I-20
• Passport (must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your intended travel)
• F1 visa
• I-901 payment receipt
• Class registration
• Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Admission Letter
• Proof of tuition deposit (if available)
• Housing address
• ISGSS Emergency Contact Information

Upon arrival at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ:

• Email ISGSS@lewisu.edu that you have safely arrived to the US or on-campus
• Complete your
• Complete the Academic Integrity Contract
• Attend Mandatory F-1 Visa Information Session 
• Participate in Welcome Week activities
• Do a campus tour (optional but recommended)
• Get connected with the International Student Association (ISA)
